Read on...

Got my issue of Metro Weddings... even if some w@wies say that it's quite disappointing... (actually, it is) I just got to have it. Hehe! Thanks brad! =) I hope the next issue will be better though. P250 is P250!

Dulz also bought me a copy of "Yes, I do" from Paulines last Sunday. Got the idea from one of the w@wies (Lanie ni Fred). I find it useful since it has the meaning of all the wedding symbols, sample missalette and it discusses christian marriage. For P50, I think it was a good read, mura pa. =)

Suddenly, I want to get my hands on more of these. More books on marriage, having a family and the likes. I still think that it's important to prepare more on the marriage than the wedding alone. I want to think that we are prepared. Joven and I have our thoughts on this and we talk a lot about it. But I also hear a number of things about marriage... mostly from my mom, her friends and my titas. Not all of it positive, so I guess we still have to better prepare. With all the badminton and wed preps, we have to find the time... but I'm sure we will. =)

Any suggestions? Must read websites/books? =)

dionne! i recommend my all-time favorite Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman..you'll get to understand you partner's love language among the five and from that you'll learn how to adapt/adjust/appreciate his love language. I think madami siya sa Powerbooks. Hindi lang siya sa couple applicable..maski kanino like friends, family, etc. (though the text is basically addressed for couples) :D By the way, san ba may malapit na paulines kaya?

thanks mga mag addicts... theresa and gra! hehe! parepareho pala tayo. =)

thanks for the tip joanne. i'll do that. =)

thanks for dropping by pearli and marj. di bale marj, like what aggie said, it takes more than books or mags to make a marriage work.

tama ka aggie, i guess no book or mag can really prepare one for marriage. i think it's more on pang-aliw and food for thought. hehe! =)

Ideally, I wanted to go get counselling as soon as I know I was getting married... because I didn't want to bring sooo many unresolved issues about intimacy, commitment and family into my marriage...

And then I wanted to go into counselling with h2b, and attend seminars etc. with him...so we'd be groomed for a life together...

Syempre sya, feeling nya OA yung mga yun...

Till we started really having problems triggered by the wedding preps... kaya ayan, we'd be attending Discovery Weekend na this August...

And next year, I intend to attend weekly meetings (parenting seminar) with him so we can prepare ourselves to be united parents naman...
