Wedding Music and Movie Marathon
Whenever I browse through our site, I always try not to look at the counter above. When I do, I start panicking. I know that it's just a wedding. I know that it just flashes before your eyes, tokwa, it's only one day noh. But it's my wedding and I'm a drama queen. Haha! Buti kung pumapayat ako sa stress na 'to. Worse, I'm starting to gain weight (again!). I'm sure Tet's going to kill me if my gown won't fit me ulet. Oh well... I still have a month. =P
Last Wednesday, Joven and I headed to The Sentimental Groove's office for the production meeting. Sounds grand? But it's just telling them how we want the music in the ceremony and reception program to be. We were quite surprised because their "office" changed a lot. They already have a bar and a real office na. Hehe! I was quite apprehensive before our meeting because I've been hearing a number of kwentos that they were not this, that, blah, blah. I think they are now responding positively to these.
We were met by Randy who I initially thought was I.G. Hehe. My bad, I assumed wrong. Anyway, since Joven and I have a song list already, we just breezed through the parts of the ceremony and reception program one by one. Randy gave good suggestions along the way. He even played the songs we didn't know from their PC and hummed some that cannot be found in their library. I was in my makulit mode that day and kept on joking around. He was warming up on us and was beginning to joke as well. He described how the TSG evolved over the past year (we booked last year! =P). I guess it was his way of explaining to us why some couples encountered a few TSG problems over the past months. Somewhat, the meeting reassured me. But, I'm still crossing my fingers.
Our holy week was uneventful. We just veggied in front of the TV and PC... channel flipping and stalking blogs, respectively. We also tried to update our movie list.
A Moment to Remember... (courtesy of Kateh & Beej... thanks!) cried my heart out. Joven didn't know how to stop me. He was already offering his t-shirt to wipe my tears. Kakaiyak eh! Sa last scene lang naman todo iyak. Makes me think, what if it happened to me... Joven said he'd put me in an institution. Loko!
Next was A Tale of Two Sisters... (courtesy of Brymac... thanks!) I was bugging Joven for us to see this film for a loooong time already, lagi syang may excuse. =P I was hooked and spooked at the same time. I was hooked because I wanted to know what was really happening and boy, was I spooked! Half of the time I was watching the movie in my periphery... I was also telling Joven (actually, myself) that they are just movie actors and there are a lot of people in the set while shooting the scenes... that of course did not help. Hehe!
One of the movies I was insisting that Joven has to see was What Dreams May Come. Finally happened yesterday... It might be mushy but the movie has a number of plus points. At that time (1998), I was surprised by the superb cinematography. The story was interesting also. I've seen it three times and it made me cry three times too! =P
Veering away from drama and horror films, we decided to watch a comedy. We borrowed a DVD copy of Old School from Joven's brother, Jeffrey. Might not make a lot of sense... call it trash... but it was funny. We both had a good laugh. If you don't want to think but want to laugh, this one's for you. =P
We missed Ice Age: The Meltdown in cinemas so we decided to download a copy (please don't arrest me, he did it! Hehe!). It was funny but I liked the first one better. =P
Anyway, Joyeuses Pâques mes amis! I hope you all had a blessed Easter.
Can't wait for the office egghunt on Tuesday. Hihi!

naks. crayola ka din pala sa A Moment to Remember. ;)
napanood mo na ung Fly me to Polaris? kakaiyak din to. panoorin mo rin ung In the Mood for Love.
hi dionne! you have every right to fuss over your wedding. unless you're an actress, it's the only day na talagang feeling artista ka! with all the attention and cameras focused on you, kailangan talaga bongga! hahahaha...
anyway, lapit na wedding. goodluck and happy preps! :)
huwaaaaat!!!!???!!! anong egghunt yan???!!!! waaaahhhh!!!! sukahan ko kayo jan eh! hmp!!!! :(
Don't panic, dionne. Everything's gonna be as smooth as you imagined it to be.
You'll be as radiant as brides are supposed to be, and more. Yes, you'll be a bit nervous as you walk down the aisle. But the happiness you will feel as you see your groom waiting for you will steady your pace. And the realization that you have made the right decision will fill you with bliss.
Don't panic, dionne. Everything's gonna be as beautiful as you imagined it to be.
