Bayview Park Hotel II

Last Sunday, we went to Bayview (again), to negotiate some terms of their wedding package and to see some pictures of their sample set-ups.

We wanted to swap some items (like the cake and/or souveniers for some other service or item). But according to Aileen, only the cake is convertible to an overnight stay at a standard/moderate room. Oh well... At least, we can still get the cake we want. =)

For starters, we saw some pictures of their sample setup. The main difference between the classic and elegant packages is the chair ribbons. For the classic package, the chairs would only be wrapped in white, whereas the elegant one had a ribbon tied at the back. Ribbon or no ribbon? I'd go with the no ribbon any day! I remember having a hard time sitting on those ribbon-ed chairs...

We also some of their sample 2-layer cakes. We were told that only the bottom layer would be edible. Gusto ko, yung buong cake ang pwede kainin (ko, hehe)!

As for the bridal car, it seems to be the same for both packages, a white Mercedes Benz something, 1995 edition. Seems OK. If ever we extend the 3 hours allotted for its use, we need only to pay the driver, no taxi-like meter for the car.

Since we couldn't swap the souveneirs, might as well check out what they have to offer. Swerte nga naman. They have a tripod candle-holder that can be used to contain candies (whose colors would depend on the supplier). Ayos! That's 50 items already. Only 150 more items to make/produce/pack.

We aldo got to see the suite room. Very nice. It's really spacious, 3 times the size of the moderate rooms (price-wise as well); has 2 TV's; a receiving area and a mini-dining area. A lot of space to get a lot of relatives dressed. A lot of floor space for relatives to sleep on. Hahaha!

Lastly, we often wondered how the food would be... Even though we already have a buffet menu in mind (among the available sets), it's a different thing to taste it for ourselves. Any date would be fine as long as it's free and you get to eat all you can! Bwahahaha! Aileen told us that this would depend on the availability of the food, otherwise we could just judge the quality of the food based on the menu available. Or, we could always pay the buffet rate just to sample the menu we want... I'd go with the free meals any day! ;)

In summary, we're OK with Bayview's package. We already asked Aileen to pencil-book us for June 10, 2006. We just need to confirm in a week or so. We could always call them if we'll be needing an extension.

For comparison purposes, we're going to look into other hotels/restaurants in the area. We want to know if the package we got (or going to get) is reasonable, within the limits of other suppliers.

We got home just in time before the rain started. Just in time for the Pacquiao fight... REMATCH!
