Fior, Spazio and the Royal Tenenbaums

Joven and Dionne's Pampanga Adventure

Saturday

Morning
Joven and I went to the Fiorgelato plant in Ermita, Manila for the ice cream tasting. We were greeted by one of the staff during the expo (didn't quite get his name). After a short chat on franchising, he handed us brochures (hmm.. interesting!). He ushered us to the balkon where Omar is. Omar was busy preparing the ice creams for the tasting. We were informed that there were two more couples coming. We didn't wait long before they started serving the ice cream. Joven was in heaven! After about a dozen flavors, we were able to come up with the final six. And they are... (drum roll) Pistaccio (Pistachio), Monte Rosa (Bubble Gum), Fior de Panna (Vanilla), Mango Sherbet, Choco Nut Fudge and Raspberry Cheesecake. Yummy!

We rushed to SM Manila for grocery and a quick lunch. We are on an experiment. Hope it will work. Haha!

Evening
We headed to Pixie's for dinner with SML (Ryan, Cors, Beej & Benj). Dinner was delicious! Dessert was even more delicious at Half Moon. Panalo ang Bibingcrepe! I had so much fun with the group. If it weren't for the early trip the following day, we wouldn't have ended the night early.

Sunday

Early Morning
Off to Tita Nene's (Joven's aunt) place for a gathering of Joven's relatives. Road trip to Pampanga! Yahoo! When we got there, people were not yet ready to go. We decided to go to the nearby open house of Spazio Bernardo, a condo we're eyeing even before construction started. Lorie, a staff from PHINMA, met us. She toured us around the vicinity, explained everything we have to know and answered all our queries. We liked it. It was accessible, the neighborhood seemed quiet & safe, and the model units are nice. But of course, we still have to think about it. At least we have more information this time. =)

Morning
After less than an hour or so, we headed back to Tita Nene's place. This time, some were eating heavy breakfast before the road trip. More kamag-anaks (Tita Baby, Lisette, Lambert, Carlo, Bapa Tay, Tita Fely, and Angel Nicole). =) We were encouraged to eat as well, who would resist Kare-kare at 10AM. Haha!

We boarded the Revo and the kulitan started. I was so amused throughout the trip. I couldn't even resist to make jest sometimes. =D Arriving at San Luis, Pampanga, we were greeted by Tita Siding. Tita Nene even introduced me as manugang *blush* and as amiable as ever, she welcomed me. We visited the construction site of their new house (big!). After jumping from rocks & crossing the "hanging bridge," we are set to San Fernando to the real destination. Dominic's birthday party. =D

Afternoon
We arrived at Bapa Juan & Tita Bebeth's house a little after 12PM. Quite famished and a bit tired, we were ushered inside the house. Nice!

Soon, lunch was served... Lechon, Lemon Chicken, Baked Lasagna (with 4 cheeses), Pasta, Cakes, and more. Indulgence talaga! The afternoon was spent watching Mr. Bean with the kids, eating butong pakwan with the adults, reading my current read, and Joven sleeping. Hehe!

A little after 4PM, we decided to head home. We went back to San Luis to visit Tatay in the mausoleum and to drop off Tita Siding. After a a few chitchats, uwian na talaga. Carlo was making kulit to me while the others were trying to stop him. Haha! An hour or so later, we headed to Manila. It was an uneventful trip except for a few chims from Lambert which made Carlo cry.

Evening
Thanking one fourth of the Larin clan, we rode a taxi going to Joven's house. After dropping off most of the pasalubongs, we headed to our house. Luckily, we were able to catch my visiting sister and nephew. After a number of kisses and hugs, they went home. Haay kapagod but super enjoy. Looking forward to more kita-kits with the Larin clan even if I only understand 50% of what they're saying (mekeni, potang bengi, wa, etc.). Haha! Feeling family na rin ako. =D

Side: A new baby in the family was born! My brother's baby is finally a girl. Angelina Marie is a 9/11 baby, born around 4PM Texas time. Yippee! So excited to see her in June. Sayang she's so small to be a flower girl.
